Tips for spreading and baking slices
The slicing and baking may seem simple, just unfold it in the slicing area and then put it in the baking area for baking. But in a sense, it is also a key factor. If the temperature or operation is improper, the entire process will be destroyed. Therefore, spreading and baking the slices is very crucial.

（2） Spreading and baking slices
Slicing: flatten the wrinkles of the slices
Note: The water temperature is between 40-56 ° C, which is mainly related to the properties of the embedded paraffin. If the water temperature is too high, it can cause tissue cells to disperse. If the water temperature is too low, the wrinkles in the slices cannot be flattened.
Grilled slice: Melt the wax block to tightly adhere the slice to the glass slide.
Note: The temperature is generally between 60-70 ° C, and the baking time is about 1-2 hours. The baking time of the slide is not only related to the melting point of wax and the composition of chemical additives, but also to the quality (characteristics) of the slide, as well as the size of the tissue.
（3） Steps for spreading grilled slices:
1. Connect the power and turn on the power switch;
2. Spreading:
(1) Using small tweezers, place the already cut slices into warm water in the spreading area;
(2) Spread the slices and allow them to be fully unfolded;
(3) Attach the wax slide onto the glass slide;
(4) The position of the wax slide should be 2/3 of the left (or right) position of the slide, leaving the remaining 1/3 of the space for attaching notes later;
3. Baking:
Bake the wax slides in the baking area, and once the baking is complete, proceed with the staining step.
（4） Notes:
1. There are two main requirements for water in the stall area:
① The water temperature is suitable, preferably at 40 ℃;
② Clean, especially at the water surface, should be clean.
2. After each wax slice is cut, the water surface should be carefully cleaned and no other pathological tissue fragments should be left behind,To avoid contamination and affect the inspection results.
3. When attaching the wax slide to the glass slide, pay attention to its position and avoid bubbles.
4. Pay attention to the daily maintenance and cleaning of the instrument.
