The founding conference of the China Health Management Association was held in Beijing, and Chen Li, Vice Chairman of the 11th Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, was specially invited as Honorary President. Bai Shuzhong, former Minister of Health of the General Staff, Zhao Qiqi, former Political Commissar of the Security Department of the General Staff, served as Honorary President. Gao Qiang, former Minister of Health, served as General Advisor; Guo Yucheng, former vice president of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital, was elected as the president.

The China Health Management Association is a national level association with the aim of "promoting comprehensive health, benefiting the elderly, fulfilling social responsibilities, and sharing national worries". Its main task is to conduct research around the development of health management goals, promote and participate in the formulation and implementation of relevant national laws, regulations, and policies, explore the establishment of new models, standards, and new ideas and paths for the development of health and elderly care; Carry out publicity and popularization of scientific knowledge in health management, strengthen the cultivation of health management talents, carry out education and training, academic research, and experience exchange; Promote communication and cooperation between various health management and elderly care institutions both domestically and internationally, and promote the transformation and promotion of related scientific and technological achievements. The conference also held a forum on health management and elderly care, discussing the current situation and prospects of health management development in China, health management and precision medicine, and health management promoting the development of elderly care services.
